Yup, saving up your money is the best way to make a lot of gold.
Also, when you are further in the game you can start farming(actually it's killing foes for their drops) or powertrading(buy an item cheap and sell it for more) |

powertrading ftw
farming is fun, but depending on your temperament it may seem like abit of a never-ending grind... Also, Vanquishing in HM can bring some decent cash, as well as actually contributing towards something, ie a nice title. |

Save your money, buy only the necessary armor & weapons for farming, missions, etc. ...and NO impulse buys! It'll add up fast...

Don't waste your money on things like lockpicks. You'll never make your money back on them (learned that lesson the hard way).
Do lots of sidequests for things like trade contracts and cash. If you have lots of them, offer to 'sell' some of your skillpoints to people for consumable kits in the services section of the forum (providing you have the necessary access to EotN consumables crafters). Your Guru avatar says that you're a rit; if you don't fancy rolling a new char just to farm with, check out some of the ritualist farming builds over at PvXWiki. |

Farm Raptors like everyone else. Sell the golds Unid because they're all worthless due to Raptor farming.

Everybody farms Raptors (in HM, Asuran Territory). Do what everybody else does, and you'll be fine. My friend got 700k in cupcakes this weekend because of those silly raptors .
And I also suggest to follow the link which Zamochit posted. It'll help you in farming raptors and also making that gold. Happy farming |

Another good tip is to check prices on runes. Example:
Find a blue or purple armor or whatever - identify it, and see that it sells to the merchant for 200 gold. 1) Look at the name to figure out what runes/insignias etc are on it, and check the rune trader price of said rune. 2) If the price the rune trader offers for the rune is higher than the merchant value of the armor; salvage the rune off and sell it that way. I have found that to (sometimes) be a very profitable way of using your items wisely. No lockpicks. (example2) Find a gold charr armor of superior vigor See that it merches for 253 gold or whatever. Check the rune trader, and see that the price of a Sup. Vigor is xx platinum. Salvage off the sup. vigor, and sell it - either to person (recommended) or the rune trader. Profit. As others have been saying, I'd say the best way for you to start making cash is to start farming in hard mode with your Rt. I haven't been Rt farming lately but the 330 Rt build comes to mind as the best option for you because it can farm many areas, is pretty easy to use, and it's inexpensive to acquire the weapons/armor for it. |
